Our principle design engineers have a total of over 80 years experience in electronic and system design including PCB layout and where appropriate full FMEA and MTBF analysis if required.
Our expertise includes both digital and analogue designs extending to software development of Micro Controllers, specialising in the Microchip PIC series. We pride ourselves on producing designs that incorporate best practice for Manufacture and Test including environmental and regulatory consideration such as EMC as part of the design.
Recent designs undertaken include several small machine systems, brushed and brushless motor and power controllers, intelligent keypads and systems for vehicle applications and more.

Prototyping
Contract Electronic Manufacturing Services
Our team is capable of handling a project from a basic design brief and can produce a comprehensive product specification for approval.
With due consideration to best practices for Manufacture and Test, the electronics are then designed to the product specification, the PCB laid out and production documentation produced.
Production prototypes are then manufactured and any necessary code created. The design is then tested as far as possible at AEI before submission for evaluation and subsequent joint design review.

Our business measurement system currently utilises Key Performances Indicators, SPC and FMEA for monitoring and improving current or planned processes.Our adopted workmanship standard is IPC-A-610 which works hand in hand with AEI's training policy. All our production staff undergo continual self assessment and formal IPC training both externally and in house.
